Stadiums Tasmania was established to oversee the ownership and operation of Tasmania’s major outdoor stadiums and indoor arenas. We are progressively bringing together a portfolio anticipated to consist of five venues across the state. Stadiums Tasmania currently operates two venues in Launceston, University of Tasmania Stadium and Silverdome. We are working with current owners and operators to transition two venues in Hobart, MyState Bank Arena and Ninja Stadium, into our integrated statewide network. Stadiums Tasmania will also become the owner and operator of the new Macquarie Point Stadium in Hobart, further strengthening Tasmania’s capacity to host major events and deliver benefits for the community.
UTAS Stadium
UTAS Stadium is the Tasmanian home of Hawthorn Football Club, the northern home venue for the Hobart Hurricanes and hosts a broad range of sporting and entertainment events.
Silverdome
The Silverdome is a multi-purpose indoor sport and events venue in Launceston, Tasmania. It is the northern home venue for the Tasmania JackJumpers and the northern home base for the Tasmanian Institute of Sport. It boasts the southern hemisphere’s first indoor velodrome, and can host a wide range of indoor entertainment, sporting, exhibition and conference events.
Macquarie Point Stadium
Macquarie Point will be home to an iconic stadium for Tasmania, serving as a destination for both locals and visitors. This premier multipurpose facility will be the go-to venue for sports, arts, events, and entertainment in Tasmania.
MyState Bank Arena
MyState Bank Arena is a multi-purpose indoor sport and events venue in Hobart, Tasmania. It is the largest indoor sport and entertainment venue in Tasmania.
Ninja Stadium
Ninja Stadium is the home of the Hobart Hurricanes and Tasmanian Tigers cricket teams and regularly hosts international cricket matches.

Stadiums Tasmania is a Tasmanian Government-owned independent statutory authority established under the Stadiums Tasmania Act 2022. Stadiums Tasmania commenced operations on 1 July 2023.
