About

Stadiums Tasmania is an independent statutory authority established by the Tasmanian Government under the Stadiums Tasmania Act 2022, commencing operations on 1 July 2023.

We are responsible for the management, operation, maintenance and future capital development of Tasmania’s major public stadiums and indoor arenas. Our role is to ensure these venues deliver strong economic and community benefits for Tasmania.

By bringing ownership, management and future investment into a single statewide organisation, Stadiums Tasmania provides a coordinated and strategic approach to how our venues are run and developed.

Like similar organisations across Australia, we are designed to operate an integrated network of venues. This approach builds capability, improves efficiency and supports the delivery of major sporting, entertainment and community events.

Guided by an experienced Board and management team, we work to ensure Tasmania’s major stadiums are well run, fit for purpose and ready to meet the needs of audiences, event partners and the wider community, now and into the future.

Our purpose, vision and values

Our purpose is to own, operate and invest in Tasmania’s major sporting and entertainment facilities in order to attract and deliver a diverse range of events for the benefit of the Tasmanian community.

Our vision to foster community engagement and pride by leading the growth, activation, innovation and optimisation of Tasmania's major sporting and entertainment venues and precincts.

We value:

  • Excellence – We strive to be world-class in everything we do
  • Connected – We are connected and engaged with our local communities and broader stakeholders to deliver a truly authentic Tasmanian experience
  • Balanced – We seek to optimise commercial, economic and community outcomes
  • Inclusive - Our organisation, our venues and our events are welcoming and accessible
  • Innovative - We welcome and encourage new ideas and thinking
