About

Stadiums Tasmania is a Tasmanian Government-owned independent statutory authority established under the Stadiums Tasmania Act 2022. Stadiums Tasmania commenced operations on 1 July 2023.

Stadiums Tasmania was established in order to oversee the sound use, management, operations, maintenance and investment in major public stadiums and related assets in Tasmania, with the aim of maximising the economic and community benefits provided by Tasmania’s major public stadia infrastructure.

Stadiums Tasmania centralises the ownership, management, and future capital development of Tasmania’s major public stadiums under a single entity with a statewide perspective.

As is the case across similar statutory bodies across Australia, Stadiums Tasmania will build capacity and deliver efficiencies as an integrated statewide network of stadium venues, to host major sporting, entertainment, and community events.

With a highly skilled and experienced Board and management team, it will also ensure Tasmania’s major public stadiums operate effectively and efficiently and continue to meet the future needs of audiences and key user groups across the sporting, entertainment, community, arts and culture sectors.

Our purpose, vision and values

Our purpose is to own, operate and invest in Tasmania’s major sporting and entertainment facilities in order to attract and deliver a diverse range of events for the benefit of the Tasmanian community.

Our vision is to act as the driving force behind the development and optimisation of Tasmania’s major sporting and entertainment venues and be widely recognised as a highly skilled and respected owner and operator of major venues.

We value:

  • Excellence – We strive to be world-class in everything we do.
  • Collaboration – We are embedded in our communities, understand the needs of our stakeholders, and work together for collective benefit.
  • Balance – We seek to optimise commercial, economic and community outcomes.
  • Inclusion - Our organisation, our venues and our events are equally for all.
