Future use of the Goods Shed at Mac Point

Hobart’s Goods Shed will be given a new lease on life as a vibrant community hub, under plans for the Mac Point Stadium project.

The heritage-listed building will be carefully relocated to the northern side of the site where it can continue to be used as a year-round space for events, markets and live performances.

The relocated Goods Shed will offer a distinctive blend of heritage and contemporary design, serving as both a unique event venue and a welcoming extension to the stadium concourse on event days.

The move will not only breathe new life into the historic shed it will also preserve its character, structure, history and connection to place.
